TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

"He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge."
Proverbs 14:26

So do you want to know the latest twist on the Kanaly Koaster? We bought our first home today!! Yeah, you are reading this right, we officially closed today on our new home. We are in awe, we are overwhelmed, we are filled with so much joy and admiration toward our God. He is so good!! He did it all. I know this is a shock to about 99% of you because we haven't told many people at all. To be honest, we are in shock. This whole process was FAST. We weren't expecting it, nor were we really looking for it to happen. Sure, Brent and I have sat around dreaming of buying out first home together and wondering when that would be. We wanted to be able to let all of our children have their own rooms. But, we thought that was somewhere in our future and we were content and happy in the home we live in now.

But God had different plans!

I could sit here and tell you of every detail that had to happen in order to make this happen, but it would take forever to type it all out and while I am beginning to like this whole blogging thing, I don't have the time to do that right now. (Keep in mind, I am moving in 10 days.) I will tell you lots, but in days to come. Just know that He who promises is faithful. Truly, it has been nothing short of God's grace, His abundant blessings, and His inmeasurable love toward us that has made this possible. We serve a God who makes the impossible, possible. We serve a God who gives us more than we could ever ask or imagine. We serve a God who gives good gifts.

TO HIM BE ALL THE GLORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joshua and Abigail with their new tree that they are anxious to learn how to climb. They are so happy and excited about moving. They too, just found out today.

New Home Owners!!

"As for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."

Thank you Jesus!!

The Invisible Woman

I got this email a few yrs ago from a friend with a link to watch this video of a woman sharing about being a woman and being a mom. I have never gotten it out of mind. The Holy Spirit has used the message of this video time and time again in my life. About a week to two weeks ago, the Holy Spirit again brought this to my mind and as always, it brought peace and joy to my heart. I wanted to share it with all of you. If you aren't a woman, chances are, you know one that is special to your heart. Send this to her. I know it will bless her.

Out of the mouths of children...

Yesterday, Joshua and Abigail wanted to draw pictures and asked me if they could. I told them yes, got them paper and pens and walked away. A little while later, Joshua comes running to me saying, "Mommy, Mommy, I drew you a picture." This is what it was...

I said, "Joshua, I love it. Tell me who it is and what is all around them." He responded, "Mommy, that is you and I drew crosses all around you." Then he said the most profound, memorable thing, I believe he has ever said. "Mommy, those crosses remind me of my love for you." At that moment, I was in awe of the young, little boy who was standing in front of me and the wisdom that was pouring out of his mouth. I want to have a heart that is that pure. We all need to be able to see a cross and remember instantly what that cross represents. It represents LOVE and nothing else. Everything Jesus did for us is because of His love for his children. It is not some symbol of religion to wear or hang in our homes without living  out what it represents in our lives everyday. Joshua is an example to me of what a pure heart is and what a true knowledge of the cross is our lives. AMAZING!!

In Christ, I am NOT a victim, I am victorious!!

In Christ, I am NOT a victim, I am victorious!!

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
(James 1:3-4)
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
(James 1:12)

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.
(1 Cor. 4:20)
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
(Romans 8:37)
“…in this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33)
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
(2 Cor. 10:5)
In your strength, I can crush any army; with my God I can scale any wall.
(Psalm 18:29)
But, we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
(2 Cor. 4:7-9)
He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world.
(1 John 4:4)

Bowling Time

I took the kids yesterday bowling for their very first time with some friends of ours and the kids had so much fun. In fact, they really haven't stopped talking about it since we left. Here are a few pics of them.

Patiently waiting (or trying to wait patiently) to start playing. I thought this picture was hilarious!

Joshua was serious about his playing, just look at that determination.

Got to love my kiddos' smiles.

The ball was a lil heavy for Abigail, but she was a trooper and was determined to do everything by herself.

So serious.

"You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." John 8:32
Brent and I get a daily prophecy in our emails every morning. I can not tell you how many times, these truths have encourage us in a way that nothing else could have. This morning was definately again one of those mornings and I wanted to share it with you too. Here it is...

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns -- 6/8/11:

Beloved, renew yourself in faith and confidence, for disappointment and discouragement will steal victory by undermining your blessed assurance. You know intellectually that you can trust Me, but your emotional reaction to circumstances has created a double-minded position that will prevent you from succeeding. Now is the time to rise to a new level of faith that is not under the domination of your soul but is unlimited in the Spirit. My promises are true and are for you if you will only believe, says the Lord.
John 14:14 "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

A moment in time!

As I was taking pics of my belly (which I might add is not so easy to do by yourself), Joshua came up and kissed his baby brother. AHHHH!! This is the first pic of me and my two boys. I think I might just cherish it forever!

It's Summer Time!!

We have been doing lots of water play since the heat hit and the kiddos love it!! Here are some pics of them this past week having a blast.

As you can see, summer at the Kanaly's has officially began and we are taking full advantage of it. I am really looking forward to this summer with Joshua and Abigail. I can't believe that in a lil over 2 months, my sweet baby boy is starting Kindergarten and Abigail will be starting a 3 yr old MDO program.

Where has time gone?

I say all that to just say, this summer, I am soaking in every moment I have with these two kiddos. Life is so fast. But, as hard as watching them grow up is, it is equally just as exciting. Never did I imagine being the Mommy of such incredible lil people. They are amazing and God has so much in store for them. I get to be apart of that everyday!!

What a gift parenthood is!!
